Stephanie Lee Gies

Stephanie Lee Gies, age 31, of Oxford, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 28, 2016. She was born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1985, the beloved daughter of James and Lori-Ann (Gosk) Gies. Stephanie was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Oxford and attended Southern Connecticut State University. She loved to travel and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Stephanie had a big heart and loved being with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. In addition to her beloved parents James and Lori-Ann, Stephanie's loving family includes her caring brothers Kyle Gies and his wife Britany of Branford and James Gies and his fiance Alyssa of Seymour, her loving maternal grandfather Gene Gosk of Oxford, her loving paternal grandmother Carolyn Gies of Newtown, her cherished nephew Hunter Gies of Seymour, her cherished niece Charlotte Gies of Branford and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Stephanie was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Jo-Ann Gosk and her paternal grandfather James Gies. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Stephanie's Life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Rt. 67, opposite Klarides Village) Seymour. Memorial gifts in Stephanie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the funeral home.
