Stephen Bracci,

Stephen P. Bracci Sr., of Seymour, loving husband of 59 years to Rose Marie Cicerchia Bracci, entered into eternal rest quietly Saturday Night September 8, 2012 at the age of 85. Steve was born in Shelton, CT on February 1, 1927, the beloved son of the late Andrea and Maria Falcioni Bracci. He was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran serving during the Korean War serving with the rank of Sergeant. Steve was a native of Shelton, Ansonia and most recently Seymour. Steve was employed at BF Goodrich Sponge Products of Shelton for 31 years, a 10 year employee with Raybestos of Stratford, before retiring from George H. Caspari, Inc. of Seymour. In addition to his loving wife Rose Marie, survivors include his two caring sons Steven and his wife Janet, and their daughters Chelsea and Nicole, Thomas and his wife Nurys, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his four brothers Dominic, Andrew, Gustave, and William, and his two sisters Frances Zyskowski and Philomena Pisacane. Steve was a quiet man with loving smiles that said it all, as the ever devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid fan of the Uconn women's basketball team. Steve took great satisfaction in doing something rather than talking about it. He took great pride in all he had taught himself out of the necessity of life in being a "jack of all trades" & could fix anything. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Steve's Life will be held on Friday Morning, September 14, 2012 at 9:00 AM in The Miller-Ward Funeral Home 260 Bank Street, 'Rte 67' Seymour (opposite Klarides Village), with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Military Honors will be accorded following the Mass. Inurnment at the Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum, Derby, CT., will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, September 13 , 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, 'Rte 67' Seymour (opposite Klarides Village).
