Susan E. Paecht

Susan Elizabeth Paecht (Swanat) Age 72, of Seymour, passed away on February 2, 2025, at Griffin Hospital.

Susan was a lifelong resident of Seymour where she worked and raised three sons alongside her late husband Bill.

Susan was preceded in death by parents Lillian and Arthur Swanat, her sister Nancy, and her beloved husband Bill Paecht who passed away in March 2021. A woman of many interests, Susan had a passion for cooking, sewing her own clothing and handbags, and designing beautiful jewelry. She will be remembered for always crafting something new, whether it be Halloween costumes for her boys, one-of-a-kind dresses, or even a custom organizer for her walker later in life. She poured her heart into everything she did, and her handmade creations were a reflection of her skill and love.

 Susan is survived by her sons Jason Kearney and his wife Heather, Stephen Paecht, and Christopher Paecht and his wife Samantha; her grandchildren Jacob, Leon, and Lillian; and her Sister Barbara Valenti and brother David Swanat.

Her family will always remember Susan for her humor, selflessness, and unwavering love.

 Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parkinson’s Research Foundation in Susan’s memory.
