Suzanne Marie Alberta Bonk, age 64, of Oxford, the beloved wife of the late John Bonk, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born in Norwalk on August 14, 1952, beloved daughter of the late Michael and Lydia Savona Alberta. Suzanne was a devout communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Oxford and was an Administrative Assistant in Human Services for the town of Woodbridge. She moved to Oxford from Norwalk 30 years ago. Suzanne loved to garden, dance and travel. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends, especially her cherished nieces and nephews. Suzanne will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her dearest companion Lawrence "Pepper" Giannattasio of Stamford, her loving brother Michael "Lorrie" Alberta of Derby, her caring sister Michele DiScala of Norwalk and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Suzanne's life will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in memory of Suzanne may be made to either The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association through the funeral home.
