Thelma Rowe

Thelma Esther Rowe, age 69, of Beacon Falls, formerly of Oxford, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at The Griffin Hospital Hospice Unit, Derby, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Conway, NH on June 25, 1941, daughter of the late Clarence and Rosa Bennett Rowe. Thelma was formerly employed in the electrical department at Sikorsky Aircraft of Stratford. She was a resident of Oxford for 22 years and moved to Beacon Falls 4 years ago. Thelma was a member of the Living Word Community Church of Shelton. She was an avid homemaker, loved to garden and crochet, enjoyed her owl collection and doing puzzles. Her family includes her sons Jeffrey Haskins and Duane Haskins, both of Columbus, KS, her devoted friend Joy Kulmann of Shelton, seven cherished grandchildren Michael, Jeffrey, Jestin, Austin, James, Cody and Amanda Haskins, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Haskins and her brother Elmer Rowe. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Thelma's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
