Theodora Delegorges Klarides, age 89, of Seymour, the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Peter Klarides, entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was born in New Haven on September 22, 1932, the loving daughter of the late Nicholas and Olga Delegorges. Babe, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a 1950 graduate of West Haven High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant for many years at SNET. She was an avid tennis player who enjoyed shopping and watching the New York Yankees, Knicks and Giants as well as the UCONN Lady Huskies. Babe loved watching her grandson Cade play football and cherished the many family memories made spending time at their winter home in Florida. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and many friends but will remain forever in their hearts. Her loving family includes her two loving daughters Themis Klarides and her husband Greg Butler of Madison and Nicole Klarides-Ditria and her husband Steven Ditria of Seymour, her caring nieces and nephews Theodora Klarides and her partner Rich Fonte, Constance Cheever and her husband David and Karin Klarides Marinaro and her partner David Parise, Kristina Sweitzer and her husband Scott, Diane Delegorges and Wendi Oranzo, her cherished grandson Cade Klarides-Ditria of Seymour, her beloved kitty Winston Henry Klarides and many grand kitties. Babe was predeceased by her brothers George Delegorges and William Delegorges. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road in Orange. A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Theodora's life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Barbara Church. Interment will follow in the family plot at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Woodbridge and Seymour Regional Animal Shelter or to COCO's Animal Rescue Efforts of Seymour, both through the funeral home.
