Theodore Walter Bereza
February 25, 1946 — September 5, 2015
Theodore Walter Bereza, age 69, of Seymour, the beloved husband of 27 years to Andrea Malaney Bereza, entered into eternal rest peacefully after a courageous 10 year battle with a rare brain disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, on Saturday, September 5, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Thomaston on February 25, 1946, son of the late Bohdan and Olga Dzus Bereza. Ted was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport obtaining a B.S. in Engineering and worked for the Bic Corporation, Perkin-Elmer, Textron Lycoming and Pratt & Whitney during his long career. He loved to golf and work on his lawn and garden at his home. Ted had an outgoing personality and very much enjoyed being social with his neighbors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. His family in addition to his beloved wife Andrea includes his loving son Nicholas Bereza and his wife Donna of Wethersfield, his caring daughters Dana Bereza of Seymour and Elizabeth Pandav and her husband Nishant of Boulder, Colorado and his cherished grandchildren Parth and Madison Jane. Ted was predeceased by his brother Bohdan (Ben) Bereza. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Ted's life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Tuesday, September 8, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
