Theresa Wasko

Mary Theresa Wasko, age 74, of Seymour, formerly of Jupiter, FL and Hudson, MA, the beloved wife of 39 years to the late Stephen J. Wasko, Sr, entered into eternal rest on November 28, 2010 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New York on November 29, 1935, beloved daughter of the late Timothy and Deborah Costigan FitzGerald. Terri was an LPN, working at the Marlborough Hospital in Massachusetts for many years. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour as well as St. Peter Church of Jupiter, FL. Terri was a long time member of her condo association's board of directors, and volunteered her time at the Jupiter Medical Center, performing various needed medical tasks. She loved to travel and especially spend time with her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Terri will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family includes her devoted sons Stephen J. Wasko, Jr and his wife Patricia of Seymour and David Wasko of Wrentham, MA, her loving daughters Deborah Koziara and her husband Philip of Shrewsbury, MA and Kathleen McLean and her husband Duncan of Alexandria, VA, her caring brother Timothy G. FitzGerald and his wife Geri of Palm Coast, FL, her eight cherished grandchildren Michael Koziara and his wife Willene, Beth Callahan and her husband Christopher, Kristin Koziara, Kathleen McLean, Matthew McLean, Megan McLean, Ryan Wasko and Kaitlin Wasko and her two cherished great grandchildren Nathalia and Sarah. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of both the Griffin Hospital and The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital for the love and care they provided for their mother. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Terri's life will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 8:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 260 Bank St (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
