Vera Baranowski

Vera Baranowski, age 96, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her caring family on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at CT Hospice of Branford. She was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on July 25, 1915, the beloved daughter of the late Bronislaw and Ludwika Baranowski. Vera was a devout Communicant of the Church of The Good Shepherd of Seymour, a member of Our Lady Society of the church, and The Catholic Daughters of America. She had worked at the B.F. Goodrich Co. of Shelton as a bookkeeper for over 20 years. Vera enjoyed traveling and especially cruises to Europe and saw the world. She was a lifelong Seymour resident and was a member of the Seymour Senior Center. She was a devoted caregiver to many members of her family and she will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family includes her devoted brother Stanley Baranowski of Seymour and her cherished nephews Robert, Richard, Stephen, Michael, Mark, Thomas, Joseph, and Edward Baranowski, and a cherished niece Jill Crossman. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers, John, Ziegmont, Walter, and Edward Baranowski and her beloved sister in law Helen Baranowski, the late wife of her brother Stanley Baranowski. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Vera's life will be held (DIRECTLY) on Thursday March 22 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour with the Rev. Edward S. Jaksina, pastor as celebrant. Interment in the family plot in St. Augustine Cemetery will follow the Mass. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Miller Ward Funeral home, 260 Bank St. (Rt. 67) Seymour opposite Klarides Village.
