Virginia Kisson

Virginia Kisson, 90, of Seymour, died Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice. Virginia was born in Derby on October 2, 1931, daughter of the late Samuel and Anastasia (Gowcheck) Kisson, both of Seymour. A graduate of Seymour High School, Virginia worked as an agent at Maybury Insurance until her retirement. She enjoyed karate, yoga, and gardening, and was an avid reader. Survivors include her brother Lawrence "Gary" Kisson; sister-in-law Dorothy Kisson; nieces Nancy Pelletier, Virginia Duke, and Adrienne Kisson; nephews Richard "Sam" Kisson and Jason Haskedakes; great nieces Anastasia Duke, Nina Pelletier, and Nora Kisson; and great nephews Adam Duke, Ethan Kisson, and Ethan Haskedakes. She was predeceased by sisters Florence Kisson, Vivian Haskedakes, and Barbara Busillo, and brother Richard Kisson. At Virginia's request, private burial services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia at the convenience of the family. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home of Seymour has been entrusted with her care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Virginia's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 or through the funeral home.
