Vivian Evelyn Blasko, age 84 of Southbury, formerly of Beacon Falls and Trumbull, beloved wife of 64 years to the late George Stephen Blasko, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport on September 25, 1929, beloved daughter of the late Theodore and Evelyn Twiss Beckwith. Vivian was a faithful and selfless woman who was a devout communicant of St. Michael Church in Beacon Falls. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening. Vivian adored her grandkids and loved to watch them play. She was a kind and gentle person who loved taking care of others. Vivian will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will be forever in their hearts. Vivian's loving family includes two caring sons David P. Blasko and his wife Dorothy of Naugatuck, Gregory G. Blasko and his wife Erin of Thomaston, a devoted daughter Dawn E. Dennis and her husband Andrew of Southbury, a loving brother William Beckwith and his wife Annie of Citrus Springs, FL, a loving sister Evelyn White of Ellenton, FL, two caring sister-in-laws Doris Beckwith of Moreno Valley, CA and Connie Beckwith of Punta Gorda, FL, six cherished grandchildren Erica, Julia, Katherine, Jack, Abigail and Olivia, her life-long friend June Kovalsky of Stratford, CT and several caring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two beloved children, daughter Suzanne L. Blasko and son Robert W. Blasko, her two beloved brothers Ronald Beckwith and Theodore Beckwith, her caring brother-in-law Raeburn White and her life-long friend Doris Kerrigan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Michael Church, 25 Maple St., Beacon Falls. Interment in the family plot will follow the Mass in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, 'Rte 67' Seymour (opposite Klarides Village) on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Memorial Gifts may be made in Vivian's memory to American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
