Wilford (Fred) Froilan, age 53 of Seymour formerly of Bridgeport , devoted husband of Christina Shumyhora Froilan and beloved father of Daniel and Jonathan Froilan entered into rest unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Staten Island, NY, on January 31, 1960 the son of the late Daniel Froilan and Joan Corno. Fred was a self-employed painter. He served with pride and honor in the U.S. Army. Fred enjoyed weight lifting and body building and was an avid NY Giants fan. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make others laugh. His greatest joy was the time spent with his twin sons, whether watching the NY Giants or pumping iron. He will be sadly missed by all and forever in our hearts. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bridgeport Hospital MICU for their care and support. A special thanks to Earl (Rod) Wheeler. In addition to his devoted wife Christina and his beloved sons Daniel and Jonathan, Fred's family includes, a loving sister Jo Ann (John) Adams of Seymour, six caring brothers Daniel (Lydia)Froilan of Ansonia, Richard Davila Jr. of Beacon Falls, Ralph (Kristen) Davila of Morris,Ct., Michael (Jessica) Froilan, Anthony Froilan and Alfio Froilan all of AZ, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Fred's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour with the Reverend Honore Kombo officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
